Advantages: No appointment needed, some also open 7 days a week.

Disadvantages: Can get busy at times.

I was in desperate need of a haircut having split ends and my hair was getting too long, as I wanted to have it cut immediately and not mess around with appointments I went to Supercuts.

I went to the Gloucester road branch to be informed that they could not blow dry my hair after six in the evening as there was only two members of staff, so abit annoyed I went across to the Earls Court shop instead.
The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, it's not a place where you get the glamour but no one pretends otherwise customers are everyone, well basically off the street - kids, tourists, all ages really.

After a short wait I was asked what I wanted to be done to my hair, which was to have some feathering to be put in and a good 6 inches to be taken off in the length. I had very long hair and worryingly have suffered from thinning hair which is noticable sometimes around the scalp.
I had a gorgeous hairwash and the hairdresser was explaining what he was doing, what was nice was that he was taking his time even though he had another customer waiting and was due to close in 30 minutes.
Some hairdressers would hurry you at the end of the day and not listen to you at all so this was great.

I left feeling good with shiny locks and the price was £26.99 which is nothing compared with some salons in London.
If you have washed your hair the same day as you visit them and you don't put any hair products in your hair, it works out quite a bit cheaper as they don't have to wash it.

I left very happy and I would go back there again in the future. I had very long hair and worryingly have suffered from thinning hair which is noticable sometimes, but it has helped getting a cut with layering in it to build up the volume. :-)

Summary: Good for basic cuts and especially if you're disorganised like me you can pop in anytime.
