Advantages: No appointment

Disadvantages: cattle market

The thing is whatever hairdressers you go to there are always good cutters and bad cutters. I'm sure in some supercuts stores there are good hairdressers, but generally the standard is poor. The reason might be because you get treated like cattle - so you feel like a haircut? dont want to make a proper appointment? well, just pop into supercuts, wait only about 30 mins max, and you could be getting a haircut. The probelem is, they that place is always pretty full, lots of men, old people, (sorry to be sterotypical but ti is my observation) and kids, people that cant be arsed, and want a quick cut. So hairdressers there do that hairdreser thing, where they dont actually listen to you, and whta every style you want, they kinda adapt it, so for example, show them a picutre of lets say Nicole Appleton, and they'll take a 5 second glance, and go "ah she wants a trim and soem layers". No I want it exactely like hers in the photo.....but its just no good! another thing is that in supercute, while your getting your hair washed, the hair wshing person always says "do u want a intensive conditioner? its only 2.50...." you dont want to feel tight so you say yes, even though its no different from anything else you can do at home. all in all, if all u want is a trim, then fair enough (actually its not that cheap about 22 for a long haird cut) you wont get any coffee or anything like that, and you'll have people straring at you whilst you get your haircute, and you can't help but feel that the hairdresser wants tog et your hair done as soon as possible and move on to the next person. but thats the nature of supercuts,y ou cant expect complete full attention where there are about another 40 peoples hair to cut. And warning, over christmas, no doubt it will eb super busy, so take some advice.......steer clear unless you really don't want anyone to take pics of you at christmas time.

I have been to several Supercuts outlets but the best I have found is at The White Rose Centre near Leeds. Whenever I am in that area and need a haircut I go there. I have never had a stylist who didn't take care, but then again I always go at quiet times, such as about 3 pm on a weekday when mums are picking up the kids from school. I know this is not always convenient for everyone but it is quieter then and the stylist has more time. I wonder if the people who work there get a bonus for the number of haircuts they do? Maybe this would explain other peoples' bad experiences about being rushed.

I don't like this place because it doesn't actually turn out cheaper. I went there because it seemed cheaper than the other hairdressers, but at the end of the cut I was charged £18 (and I have hardly any hair!). They claim that they only charge you for what they use, but they don't actually ask you whether you want them to use each product etc.
