Tennis Clubs in NottinghamNewest Review: ... cases out of date. I joined the club in 2008 after the Wimbledon final, I know I could have been more original. It is a very friendly club with a group of dedicated players regularly showing up on the match practise nights. Members and guest can show up and play if they want, very welcoming and open. End of 2008 flood lights were installed on all 4 macadam courts (2 previously). Therefore more courts will be available in the evenings. A new website is now live on www.keyworthtennis.co.uk to inform about the club and the activities. The club has now about 80 members and hopefully this year an increase will give the club a more solid base... more |

My review is limited to Keyworth Tennis Club, or Keyworth and District Tennis Club in full. Other reviews are very complete, but may be in some cases out of date. As a relative newbie to Nottingham have been pleasantly surprised by just how active the tennis community is. I can count 4 decent sized clubs within a 5 mile radius of my house in Daybrook. As a member I am biased but Woodthorpe Tennis Club http://www.woodthorpeltc.webs.com/ is amongst the friendliest I have visited, has excellent facilities, a forward thinking committee and a great location. Other clubs I would recommend - West Bridgford (excellent courts, but expensive), Caunton (for North Notts) and The Park if you live right in the middle. The Nottingham tennis centre is also a great facility for the city. Based near the main ... Read the complete review

There are a lot of tennis clubs in and around Nottingham and all of them are very good and have very good facilities. In this opinion I am going to tell you about some of them and hope to help you if you are a keen tennis player in the area. Keyworth tennis club is an excellent club. It is based in a large village in Nottingham and has excellent facilities. It has four Macadam courts, which is a very hard all weather surface. The courts have recently been resurfaced and are in very goods condition. Two of the courts have recently have floodlights added to them due to lottery funding. The courts are situated in a very nice area with a children’s ... Read the complete review

In this review I intend to give a fair representation of most of the tennis clubs in the Nottingham area. Obviously, I can't include them all because there's hundreds of them, but I will try and include the bigger ones and the most successful ones. Keyworth Lawn Tennis Club Keyworth Lawn Tennis Club is a medium sized tennis club located in Nottingham. It is also the tennis club of which I am a member so I might be mildly biased on this part. We have 4 'Macadam' Courts. Basically these are just hard courts. They are very good quality and have recently undergone some minor repair work. This took place because they were very slippery when ... Read the complete review
