The Carling Weekend Music Festivals 2000 in general

Newest Review: ... not go into that!) Sid, the Dj out of the nine members. Shaun (percussionist) really put on a good show, and would of probably torn the stage down if everything wasn't securly fitted! The best part though was when Corey told everyone to sit down - which everyone did without arguement - then during the last verse of 'Spit it out' when he said 'Jump the f*ck up' everone had to jump up. Everyone did this and it was absolutely mental. Something I probably won't forgot for a while. Rage Against the Machine were just as good. Their music portrays a sense of political unjustice and really makes you think about what you shoul... more

The Leeds 2000 festival was probably one of the best times of my life. I only actually went for the first day, but that was good enough for me! On the day that I went, there were all the bands that I wanted to see - Slipknot, Rage Against the Machine, Blink 182 and Supersuckers. There were other bands that I enjoyed like the Stereophonics but I wasn't desperate to see the. Slipknot were absolutly immense. The tribal beats that they fired out really hit you and made you look at them in awe. I was also pretty proud to of touched (and kissed - but lets not go into that!) Sid, the Dj out of the nine members. Shaun (percussionist) really put on a good show, and ...  Read the complete review

The immortal words as uttered by Hectomania himself.Lighting a fire was possibly the only thing that put a damper on the weekends activites. Except the rain on Saturday which literally did put a damper on the events1 Nontheless nothing would stop me and my friends from enjoying the best time £80 could buy. It all started the day of our GCSE results in August. After the nerve wracking morning we all ran off screaming (after drinking the odd can of warm beer of course) to the train station to escape the hell hole that is Gloucester. It was a pleasant ride i guess with the perfect blend of tranquiil countryside and urmm...deftones on my mindisc. After arriving many of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Something for the weekend (302 words)

Leeds 2000 was fantastic!! Possibly one of the best weekends of my life. It rained almost continuously with the heaviest downpour having to be on sat nite when placebo were playing. Everyone in the crowd got soaked but were either too happy or too drunk to care. A lot of people say that reading is better. I've never been to reading so I can't say but I know that leeds held no disappointments!!! It living up 2 everything a festival should be: loud music, lots of alcohol and mad mad people. Even the shopping was good!!! There was music to cater for every taste and even a comedy tent for you 2 watch live comedy acts. The rain wasn't too much of a problem because ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Carling Weekend Music Festivals 2000 in general: Reading Festival (230 words)

I went to Reading Festival this year for the second time. What with the rain this year, it was a completely different experience. The mosh pit was more of a mud pit, and the camping fields were more like camping lakes. But it was so worth it. Surprisingly Rage Against The Machine were not as incredible live as I had expected. And as for Slipknot, I have never witnessed a poorer performance from such a successful band. Their entire set was overpowered by the boo-ing of the crowd and the fact that half way through, the entire mosh pit sat down in protest. One of the best bands that I saw there were, surprisingly, Blink 182 who ...  Read the complete review
