Newest Review: ... fried rice to spicy squid. And everything is labelled so you know what you're eating too, so there's no risk of biting into something you'd rather not have in your mouth. You'll find plenty of vegetarian options and even plenty of simple foods suitable for people who don't actually like chinese food - for example barbequed salmon steaks and whole prawns with plain rice or chips. The whole family managed to track down all of our favourite dishes - crispy seaweed, duck pancakes, lemon chicken, mussels in garlic sauce, wanton soup, prawn crackers, barbeque ribs, sesame prawn toasts, beef in black bean sauce and at least ... more

All you can eat for around 12 quid a head. Considering you can get the same sort of deal around Charing Cross road for a fiver you might wonder why it's worth travelling all the way out to Zens CX at the Oriental Plaza (on the main road between Colindale and Burnt Oak tube stations) Well, you can go to the cheap and cheerful places if you like and you'll almost certainly manage to find a decent meal - the chinese buffet in the Hippodrome nightclub is a great example, good selection of delicious food and interesting surroundings, but Zens is a whole new world. Alas, the place was where I spent most of my misspent youth, many hours and days, occupied in said establishment, the home of Starburst ‘cade. Amusement arcades are much too friendly these days, with their free coffee and free biccies and free competitions where you can win a packet of fags or a meat pack. Who could forget the famous cry of “lend of us two bob for my buzzy, mate” (two bob = 10p oop North!) by one of the older/rougher lads, usually just after you had dropped the two quid jackpot (paid out in ...  Read the complete review
