Hassle free Xmas…..I don’t think so. Is there anything as a Hassle free Xmas, something however big or small can go wrong. So here’s my little tips to help you go through Xmas day quite smoothly. Shopping If you haven’t started. ‘Don’t Panic’ as they say in Dad’s Army and start now! Start very soon because it can really stress you out. Make a list of the present to buy so you don’t miss anyone out. The last thing you want to is mis a dear Auntie out. Also buy a couple of cheap presents just in case you get some unexpected presents. That way you will be prepared. Go to Arndale’s and Shopping complex nice and early so you can have a good look around and so you can sift out the bargains. If you haven’t the time then check the internet out. Loads of tops sites and you will be able to find something. TIP: Have a price limit and do not go over it. Last thing you want to do is go over the limit and pay off your debts in the New Year. My motto a new year a new slate. So start shopping, get a list and start wrapping. So: Start shopping NOW, use the high street the internet and use your own creative touch to get the best presents for loved ones. Cooking If your cooking then get your ingredient ready. Haven’t got a recipe or need a menu then look through dooyoo or check out some recipe sites out. Try to plan your day out and leave enough time for the turkey to cook. Last thing you need is a turkey that isn’t done. Also, if your inviting friends then check if you need to accommodate peoples taste. You may have vegetarian or even vegan friends. Last year my Mum forgot to switch the oven on and thought the Turkey was cooking. So have a double check to make sure the oven is on. Thank-fully, things weren’t delayed that much. If your inviting quite a few friends them make sure you have enough food and of course drink.
Tidying up Or you going to leave the washing or tidy up? Well your answer might depend on how many friends you’ve invited or if you have a dishwasher. I like to clean up before I go to families whilst the children play with the presents. One Xmas I decided not to do the tidying up and the place was a mess and I was so tired to clean up after I came back from the in-laws. If your clean consciousness then do the washing up before, it will mean one thing to stress about when you come in. Other If you have friends or family that are coming for Xmas and the atmosphere is tensed then get ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire?’ it’s brilliant for bringing that relaxed atmosphere and is good fun. Pub lunches are really good and if you can’t be bothered to cook or clean then go down. The best hassle free dinner because you don’t have to do anything apart from eat it of course. My final tip is plan in advance, be prepared for the worse and hopefully you will have a great day. Happy Christmas.
