Advantages: Very inexpensive, Unique
Disadvantages: Could prove messy!, Only useful to parents
Okay sorry guys but this will only be useful if you have children but you can sort everyone out for a christmas present and cards for very little money. My partner and I are always quite poor around Christmas but we have our own little elves. First of all go out and buy lots of coloured card, glittery pipe cleaners, felt tip pens and glitter, gold and silver stars and glue. With your child draw some christmas shapes on the card, trees, bells , candles, stars etc, then cut them out, for our gifts we use 6 shapes for each. Have your child draw patterns on them with the pens stick on some stars and then drizzle some glue over and sprinkle glitter over it. Punch a hole in either side of each shape and thread a pipe cleaner through it and attatch the shapes to each other threading the pipe cleaners between them. Thread a pipe cleaner through the holes at the end of the outer shapes and tie the ends safely together in a loop. You should now have a very attractive christmas garland decoration which no self respecting relative or friend would frown upon. Of course you can make matching cards to go with each decoration. A messy but i think a nice way to give a very personal and unique gift if you are on a low income and worried about the cost of christmas.

gothiron - 13/12/01 This op isn't really appropriate to the category, why don't you try to get it moved to handmade gifts or Christmas with Children.
It's not really how to have a Hassle-Free Christmas Shopping op.
I've given a low rating because there isn't a lot of detail and cutting out stuff with kids sounds like a guarantee stress inducer to me!
If it gets moved, let me know and I'll rerate |
