Advantages: Scent of the tree and look of the tree.

Disadvantages: Perhaps the needles, but easily solved. with a vacuum-cleaner.

Fake VS Real -
No Contest! Real trees win hands down. Although fake trees cost less in the long term, a lot easier to look after and usually come with decorations, and the ever-so-real looking snow, real trees are part of Christmas. Perhaps, it is just that I have grown up with real trees, but they smell beautiful, I always know it is Christmas if I have been out in the cold, come into to the warmth and smell the scent of the tree. They obviously look better, theres no doubt about that, and they have been used to celebrate the season for years longer than fake trees.
Although, they have one disadvantage, the pine needles, but if like me, and I am sure just about anyone else in the country, own a vacuum-cleaner, use it!

By the way, my rating is for real trees!
