Advantages: Wealth & Happiness!

Disadvantages: None

Ok, some ay be personal, others vague, and as I didn't get them in 2001 I want them for 2002!

1. Marital repair kit ... a speedy alternative to "time is a healer" methods of fixing a damaged marriage.

2. Lots of money. I don't want to be a millionaire, but £100,000 would be nice.

3. Stockport County surge ... a remarkable offering that provides rapid upward movement in a failing football team leading to play off glory in Cardiff next May.

4. An effective opposition. Being in Government leads to a natural arrogance that can only be controlled by the democratic risk of losing power to a deserving political opponent. Without a deserving opponent you get arrogance, lying, mismanagement of the public services and decisions made not for the people, but the ruling classes.

5. (Sticks out chest to Miss World judges) A world where each an every nation admires the differences in every other nation and learns from the positive attributes of different cultures and religions.

6. Self motivation in my step-son who sits his GCSEs in 5 months. Having tried encourgement and rewards with no success, followed by yelling and threats, I now realise that he will only revise if he wants to. Santa, please deliver him a stocking full of self belief, commitment and motivation, cos I cannot pass his exams for him!

7. England to win the cricket World Cup, defeating the Aussies by 300 runs in the final! Actually, the winning margin is irrelevant. Just beating the Aussies on the toss of a coin after the final is cancelled due to rain would do!!

8. The financial services industry to give genuine value. While one or two banks do, most don't. High charges on stock market investements, credit cards and mortgages must go. High interest on savings and current accounts must be the order of the day. If you are not getting a good deal switch and then these multi billion pound organisations will

have to change their ways to stay in business.

9. One of those £99 digital tv boxes would be nice for the telly in the conservatory!

10. A better year than the crap 2000 and 2001 delivered!

Have a good one folks. Don't let relatives irritate you. The probably really care aout you.

I'm having a relative free Christmas, so I'm okay on that point! Have a good one, and good luck with those wishes :)

I bet there are a few people out there who would have a very similar list! I hope you get at least some of those wishes. You haven't been very greedy!! Merry Christmas!
