Advantages: what I want

Disadvantages: Others Probably don't want this

ow did you guess I found this in the archive section? The 2001 bit? Oh yes. I don?t see why there?s a date there, as I think you should be able to write here any year. So what are my wishes? Well this is my area and I know some things won?t come true and things might seem fictional or unreal, but it?s my wishes.

1. I wish all the stray animals and those who get abused would get looked after and treated right. The same also obviously goes for abused children as well. Anytime I see the RSPCA advert on the TV, where the voice says what the animal is meant to be thinking ? ?Please don?t let him kick me again. I just want to play with my ball.? I nearly makes me cry. Why do people pick on poor, defenceless animals? They are just here to be loved and they will give love back. My parents have a Chihuahua. She looks exactly like Bruiser in Legally blonde ? same colour, same size, same eyes ? everything. She means the world to me and I could cuddle her forever. I could never hurt an animal.

2. I wish my debts would be cleared. By this time next year a lot of debt will be cleared, well about 50%, but the rest will be cleared up within the next 2 years definitely. I think I have wrecked my credit score, so won?t be accepted for credit by anyone I don?t think. That will be a favour though, because I won?t be able to get into debt again. I have learned a valuable lesson thought ? don?t live beyond your means! Also I lent someone money and have demanded it back in the New Year. It is £700, so that will go towards my debts.

3. I think that benefits should be fairer. I don?t really know how to put this into words, so hope you can understand what I mean. The government says a person needs around £43 a week to live on. This doesn?t include rent. You might agree that this is a very small amount, and so do I, but I don?t expect the dole to dish out loads of money to people. What I think is unfair is when I landed my first job outside college. My boyfriend and
I live together and he hadn?t landed a job yet. So we went to the dole and cancelled our claims. We were left with no money until my payday and they calculated that my £100 a week I was earning from my part time job was to go on £86 to keep us. That meant I was to pay my boyfriend £45 as the dole said it was my place now. The remaining £14 they took for rent. Now I wouldn?t grudge paying my way, but I had to travel to my work and that cost £15 a week, so I was left with £28 a week. So I was better off on the dole. When I complained to them I was told to get another job, but I was lucky to land a job at that point. On the other hand I know a 28 year old who has never worked in her life. She has 4 kids and gets £200 in dole money. I know kids cost money, but it is a lot of money for doing nothing. The sad part it she had the kids so she didn?t have to work and so she could get extra money. When asked the question ?what will you do when they get to 18 and you will be on the basic £43 a week dole money?? her reply? ?I?ll have more kids!?

4. I wish I had a lot more clothes. I?ve never been a total clothes horse, but I think I better buy a lot more soon. This time last year I was on a diet. The end result was I lost 2 ½ stone. Through this year I put on 2 stone, then went on a short diet and lost 1 ½ stone. Now I have put it on again, but am determined to diet in the New Year and make it a good effort. So either some clothes are a bit tight or too baggy. I didn?t want to splash out on too many clothes, as I wasn?t sure what weight I would go down to, but I am hoping to lose 5 stone, so my clothes will not fit me.

5. To lose a lot of weight. I suppose see above, as I?ve explained in there when I didn?t mean to. I am large built, but quite tall as well. I carry my weight well, but could be doing with losing quite a bit for my health and myself.

6. I wish I could get the whole 692 episodes of Prisoner Cell block H on DVD, or I will settle for it o
n tape. Tell you what if they were to show it on any TV channel again even that would do. I know it is on in Canada, Sweden and Australia so why not here again? It was shown on Channel 5 from 1998 until 2001, but where I live channel 5 is impossible to get unless you have digital TV, which we didn?t have then. Through a very kind friend I have episodes 1-12, 100-162, 200-262, 535-692 and the recent box set, which has 12 episodes, which I already, had 8 of them. I have contacted Grundy in Australia, Fremantle media, all the terrestrial TV channel and Sky television, but to no joy. There is no TV schedule for it just now. Surely someone could fit it in somewhere? I can?t be the only fan out there.

7. To get a new job. Don?t get me wrong I love my job, but I could do with more hours. I?m a supervisor, and when the manager isn?t in I am the manager. On all the shifts I work I am the manager. I took the job so I could gain the experience, then be trained up to be a manager, so I don?t really want to give up the job and work in McDonalds just for the sake of extra hours. My contract is only 22 hours a week, but since I?ve started here I have done overtime. I?ve been on 29 hours for the last 3 months and next week I will be on about 45. So I suppose the overtime takes it to a full time job with full time pay, but this is never guaranteed and I have to accept that one day the overtime could be gone.

8. To write a book. I really enjoy writing, and perhaps I?m not that good at it, but I have a passion to write a book. I would either like to write a Bridget Jones meets Shopaholic book or a nice children?s book about adventure like the Narnia chronicles. I suppose it would be great to be the next JK Rowling, an unknown writer who has not much money, then you pen an amazing story, get snapped up by publishers and become a millionaire. Don?t get me wrong I would love to win the lottery to become rich, but it would be more fulfilling to earn your millions.

9. I?d love to do whole Pretty Woman thing. I wouldn?t want to be a prostitute, but getting loose with a whopping great credit card and being able to show the snooty sales assistants that I was better than them. That is a pet hate of mine, people who work in a shop who think they are better than you. They think you can?t afford things. That was a laugh when we bought our PC. We had been putting aside money for about a year as I thought the best time to buy one would be in January. We kept a close eye on certain shops and what they were offering in the run up to Christmas, but went for it in late January. We still spent £900, but both of up saved up for it. We got offered credit by the store, but declared we?d just pay cash ? ?after all it?s only £900? my boyfriend said, as the salesman looked down his nose as we were a couple of college kids. That wiped the smile of his face!

10. Now to be materialistic for the last wish. I wish for a Versace watch. There was a beauty in Argos about a year ago, but it was £545. That?s a lot of money, and I would probably be freaked out wearing a watch at that price incase it got damaged, but it was beautiful. I have to slum it in my beautiful £60 Morgan watch just now though. Also I would die for a Louis Vuitton Eye Love bag. You know the bag that was hot about 6 months ago that Victoria Beckham and the fashion pack had? This bag was available in 3 different styles ? a sort of rucksack, a tiny handbag and a bigger handbag that you could fit quite a decent amount of stuff in it. The bag had the L V sort of intertwined and the colour of these letters were pastels ? yellow, blue, pink, green. The bag itself was a creamy colour. The bag cost £850 and had a 4 month waiting list. This bag isn?t available anymore. A few were being sold on Ebay a few months ago and I bid a few times, but they sold for about £300 and this was out of my budget. My boyfriend says it looks like the kind of bag Barbie would have, but that?s nasty!

So that?s my wish list. Not that materialistic, but if these thins could get granted or solved it would make for a great Christmas. I?m not going to do a MALU and set a challenge, as no one would probably listen to me, but I would love to read what others would wish for at Christmastime!

Happy Writing.
