V.Williams v DavenportNewest Review: ... women are known for there bursts of energy and power in the serve. Although neither played at their utmost best it was a match worth watching with Venus getting the edge. The both of them made silly mistakes at crutial times but their work rate was phenominal, both women being extremely fit. Just think Venus is younger and supposedly a better player but inexperienced because of her age, what will happen when she comes to fruition? On the day well done to the williams family ... more |

This match was a battle of power versus power. We'd seen the power vs. finesse in the semi's, this was supposed to be like "Gun-fight at the OK Coral!" That said, this wasn't the game we'd expected! Only 3 aces in the whole match, all from Williams is a testament to how the game played out. Venus Williams is, of course, a man in disguise, with a face that even "crater face" would be loath to argue with. However, Wimbledon has been lucky this year with the rain holding off for most of the ... Read the complete review

On one side you could watch Steps (ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha) or on the other you could watch Venus Williams vs Lindsay Davenport. No question about it, Steps all the way ( Joke, Joke, Joke). How could any-one dare watch anything other. The emotions, the thrills, the excitement, tennis just doesn't get any better. If any-one had tried to predict a better final then they couldn't have imagined how fantastic it was. I only wish i could have been there to witness it first hand. I would have loved to have been there next to Ray Williams the marvellous father of tennis genius' Venus and Serena. Does any-one know what it said on his sign? ... Read the complete review
