Advantages: Achieved so much...

Disadvantages: ...But yet so little

After Englands amazing 5-1 crushing of Germany, it is difficult to keep the level of expentancy and optimism down to a realistic level going into tomorrows crucial clash with Greece. After that Germany match it was as though we had already qualified. But we haven't. Not quite...

Whilst we have every right to be pleased with what we have achieved so far, we must not get carry away - in proportion to the big picture we have achieved nothing yet. Only when I see our name on the "Qualifiers" list will I sit back and enjoy a beer or two. Until then, I remain sitting on the edge of my seat all the way.

If we go into the Greece match tomorrow with a negative or complacent attitude, the unthinkable could happen and all our hard work could be undone in an instant. Sven has really turned this team around, and they seem to be very level headed and aware of the task in hand. When, or indeed if, we get there, I believe that we have a very real possibility of doing something major in the Competition. After all, a few months ago, only the fools money would be on England to qualify automatically. And now here we are on the brink of it. We just need another solid England display to thrust us onto the big world stage. Come on boys!
