I have had my YAC number for 2 years now. It can be configured in 3 ways; Voice only, Fax only and Voice & Fax. All inbound messages are emailed to an address of your choice, as attachments in your choice of format. YAC will forward inbound calls to just about any landline or mobile number in the world, can it can try several numbers in sequence, if you wish. I use yac.com for the number as a free phone to Email service. I set my yac number to divert to the message service. Every time somebody phones my yac number, it records their message, and sends it to me as a .wav file, of their voice. This is very useful, especially as it means I can then save the file on my hard drive, enabling me to listen to it again. It enables me to leave myself messages of events and numbers that I want to take down, especially useful when I do not have a pen or paper on me. Yes, its really true. If you have an e-mail account you can also benefit from a fax facility. All you need to do is sign up with www.yac.com. They will give you a free number - starting 0709 - (and which can also be used for voice calls and an answering service) which can be used for faxes. Your received faxes are sent on to you by e-mail and appear in a .tif file for you to save or print. The cost of sending faxes is not too high - about the same as calling a mobile phone so it is not prohibitive. YAC.Com in my opinion is one of the best free services for call forwarding around. I'm constantly switching between home, office and mobiles - this way I'm never out of reach of my clients or family.
