What a match. Just like the Champions League final in 99 we had a dramatic last few minutes. Spain needed to win to go through thanks to the norwegians draw against Slovenia, but no-one could have predicted the thrilling ride we were to get here. Attacks were plentiful, with Milosevic and Helguera close early on, then the Yugoslavs scored, Milosevic heading home, but spain responded quickly when Alfonso blasted home after great skill from Raul. No doubt about it, this game was a joy for any neutral who watched it. The game had so much riding on it. Spain knew only a win would take them through, and losing 3-2 with more than 90 minutes played, this seemed unlikely. Spain were awarded a penalty, though, more than 2 minutes into stoppage time. Mendieta coolly slotted it away and to set up the biggest end to a game since the 1999 European Cup final. It was Alfonso, with those stunning white boots, who gave Spain their place in the quarter finals, at the expense of Norway, with a quality off-balance left-foot shot from about 12 yards out. this game was very exciting and full of action.There was severn goals scored and one player sent off.I also think that Yugoslavia have done very well to get to the quarter final and were unlucky to lose against Spain who scored two late goals one which should of never been a penalty kick.But this was very unlucky for Norway who missed out on a quater finals places due to the two late goals and the referees bad decision. ...  Read the complete review
