Building a Web Site For Dummies - David Crowder:
... am creating a new web site, and this time I am doing it properly. My current web site began life in the long Christmas holidays through a mixture of boredom, a desire to learn new skills and have my own space on the web where I could do as I pleased. I made it in Front Page and hosted it on freeola.net. For a first site I am quite pleased with it but now am starting to realise the limitations of a programme like Fr... Banners and Buttons on dooyoo in general ... it amazing how you write what you feel about on a certain product and as if by magic you have a few quid in your dooyoo account? Well it might seem like magic but its not. What it is a clever way of shifting funds raised by certain popular techniques. You see, for each banner you click on dooyoo get around 1-10p depending on the affiliated partner. It might be advisable to give the sponsors a few clicks now and then especially when you consider the apparent fact that dooyoo used to pay 25p per read. Since dooyoo has around 250 thousand unique users per month and 180,000 registered members these pay reductions and heavy use of adverts are an obvious way of kee... Banners and Buttons on dooyoo in general ... and banners are present on nearly every web page on the net and have become more and more popular now the internet has taken off. Buttons and banners are a way for the creators and designers of the site to gain a source of income. Companies will pay the sites creators to post such a banner which is basically just an advert. I realise this is probably the strangest category for me to write in, for the following reasons: (1) I'm not a Londoner so I don't make use of the Tube regularly; (2) this is a very old (or should I say defunct?) category on dooyoo, and (3) the adverts are no longer up... as far as I know. Yet, my migration to dooyoo (where I've been a faithful for 14 months and counting now) owes everything to one of these Tube adverts. In January 2001 I was in London for a few days, and while on the Tube back to Heathrow I stumbled upon this... Read the full review: Stick dooyoo onto those walls... by chris105 |
