I know how annoying it is for us all to put up with all sorts of banners that Dooyoo comes up with.

But as someone said, they have to make money somehow to be able to pay us for our ops. Otherwise god forbid, they might even think of reducing the rates again for the reads.

I must say that the Nokia banner was the most annoying one. Everytime you clicked on to something, that banner was always there. Bang! It’s like unwanted guest appearing on your website. Then I saw this op on how to stop a banner appearing on your PC by auldmac. That nearly worked for me but for some reason, instead of the banner, it came on popping up the error message. I would like to take this opportunity to thank auldmac to share the site that could stop the banners popping every second.

Since then I have noticed some other banners that are not that annoying. Out of which is the Mini banner.

At the moment, they are offering free airfreshner for your car. Once you click on to the banner it take you to the actual site. First you have to register your details which should take no longer than 5 minutes. Once registered, they will send a mini car shaped airfreshner. The one I received is of Apple fragrance. I don't know whether they do any other fragrance or not but the Apple fragrance is not bad at all.


There was another banner that actually made me decide to buy air tickets from them. It was Ticketmaster website. During September this year, whilst I was reading some ops as usual on Dooyoo, I noticed the Ticketmaster banner. I clicked on to it and there I was at their website.

I had been trying to get cheap tickets to fly to Frankfurt in Germany for days. Tried a lot of websites but didn’t have much luck, they were all very expensive.

Anyway coming back to Ticketmaster website. I managed to get really cheap more like the cheapest tickets to Frankfurt. I hear you asking how much. Well it was onl
y £75.00 return per head with Lufthansa Airlines. But the flight takes off from Stansted Airport. I didn’t mind that. So the next thing I did was book it online and within a few days time my tickets were with me. No hassle. I was impressed and everything went all right whilst I was enjoying myself in Frankfurt.

So in my opinion, not all the banners are non-beneficial. Some like Mini banner could give you a freebie. Also I have noticed that it doesn’t come in your way whilst reading ops.

Hanging the Mini Airfreshner make me feel like I own the actual car. Silly isn't it?
