It is impossible in one review to cover every aspect of the work of the local council. If I attempted it the result would be more of a book than a review, however I hope to cover a few of the more key areas here. 1. Bexley council have just announced that council tax bills will be rising by 3.5% this year. It is being trumpeted as the lowest council tax rise in 13 years. If I am expected to fund an increase in taxation I would like to know what I am going to get for my money. I appreciate that some of that tax increase is going to the Mayor of London, but that still leaves a 3% increase that is just funding local services., and this comes on top ...
