This banner is pretty plain with a boring drab white background and plain fonted blue lettering, but it certainly caught my eye because of the flashing animations. The banner has one feature that I really like, and that I think the Argos banner lacks. An advertisement for a specific product with an image of the product and a price. The fact that the banner's animations make it stand out, and the fact that it advertises a product makes me lean towards giving it four rather than three out of five. ... Read the complete review

Being a self confessed computer gaming & gadget freak this banner really caught my eye, I guess it was all those images of great techy gadget stuff. Upon entering the site you do a price search on all manner of electrical goods. Having recently purchased a Palm m100 handheld computer I wanted to see if I got it for a good price. It was here that the site failed for me, I had got mind from buy.com with a £30 off voucher, none of the prices here included vouchers or other promotions. These include subtle but noticeable banners, attractive banners and banners that amuse me. This particular ad holds none of those features. The first thing I notice about it is the annoying way in which it flashes. Sure, it attracts my attention long enough to annoy me, but that does not ... Read the complete review

It’s not instantly clear what the banner is advertising, which means that if someone just glances at the banner, they won’t know what it is about. Two out of the four banners do not tell you that the banner is advertising dealtime.co.uk. I think that the banner would be more effective if there was something there to identify the banner all the time, maybe a small logo. I asked my sister what she thought of the banner, since she’s sitting here, and she looked at it impatiently for a moment, before asking, What’s it about? I like the large flashing "click now" and it does get your attention. The colours are plain and simple, but ... Read the complete review
