Advantages: It attracts my attention

Disadvantages: It attracts my attention long enough to annoy me

I have never been particularly fond if advertising, and especially on websites that I visit regularly. Heydlyho, you say, Dooyoo has to get its money somehow in order to pay us. Banners are something all web users have to tolerate, which I think is a shame when such ads could be made more 'enjoyable' to look at. However, there are some ads that I don't mind at all. These include subtle but noticeable banners, attractive banners and banners that amuse me. This particular ad holds none of those features.

The first thing I notice about it is the annoying way in which it flashes. Sure, it attracts my attention long enough to annoy me, but that does not encourage me to click on it - only the opposite, to try to ignore it. It is also very aesthetically unpleasing, with bare bits of screen, a white background and dull small text. Hardly attention grabbing in that context. It is also not informative enough. While it shouts out details and flashes them before your eyes too quickly, it doesn't say enough about the actual product. When I went to actually write this opinion I could not even remember the name of the company or what they did/sold, which is surely not the idea if they want customers to revisit their site and spread the word.

All in all they need a subtly attention grabbing ad that will not annoy visitors to Dooyoo. It needs to be more informative, and more eye catching, as well as slower in changing the words.

I would only click on this banner in order to provide more money for Dooyoo, not to buy products.
