I love dooyoo and most of the banners they have had I have tried to support by clicking into them and visiting the sites. Afterall it is those banners that pay our miles. There have been some great banners like the Argos one- even though at the time it was very irritating I still remember the slogan ‘Do the bright thing’ and the bright banner still sticks in my mind. So, you can say that the banner was effective.

I am not one to complain but here’s where the BUT comes in. Lately, the Nokia banner has just got up my nose. Everytime I click on to dooyoo it comes up. The problem is that it slows and has even crashed my computer which makes it impossible to view or browse the site. This has seriously effected my ability to read and rate opinions.

I normally like to read the Premier opinions but this week I have managed to only read a few. The banner has made it impossible for me to surf dooyoo it can be so frustrating that I just reset the computer-tut I know but my computer becomes so slow, makes a horrible sound which I don’t like.

The banner in question is the Nokia one, personally I don’t take the banner is effective. I have seen it a few times I know the Nokia game is back but what else? Why is the banner so slow and why does it pop up so many times in quick session. Does the banner slow dooyoo up is dooyoo slower in general because the homepage has much more ads, and text on it.

So, today I have found a solution which means no more Nokia banner which in a way I am sad to say. Because I do want to support dooyoo but I had no option but to take the excellent tip from auldmac and download the pop-up-stopper which can be found from www.download.com . So, there’s no more banners which includes the main problematic one-Nokia one.

I would like to know if anyone else has experienced the same problem has me or is my computer old. I will keep the pop-up-stopper installed on my computer bec
ause it makes surfing dooyoo much more easier. I have no problems with the banners on the homepage but the pop up ones just interfere. Even if you exit them they come up again and again.

Until the Nokia banner becomes less of a handful I am afraid I won’t be seeing it again. Please feel free to leave a comment to tell me that I am not the only one having problems with this wretched banner.

Nope, I'd rather get paid nothing and have a site that's user-friendly. If I want value out of this site, it's in being able to access reviews I want to read, not getting a few pee everytime one of mine is read. Are you really earning enough from this site to make it a significant source of income? No.

There seems to be a lot of fuss from the dooyoo 'community' about getting paid at the moment. Worrying about 2p a read isn't being in a community, it's being in a workforce.

This ad is really getting on my tits.

It is very annoying but has anyone else noticed that sionce it appeared we are still getting 5p a read? Given the choice I'd rather put up with the annoyance and still get 5p a read than lose the banner and lose 2p a read!

I had already re-installed 'adbin' in protest against the DooYoo sackings, but this would not deal with the curse of Nokia. I took auldmac's advice, and it does work. Howevere, everything has slowed down. with these programs installed, and navigation around the DooYoo site is now much slower.

I think that dooyoo has gone 'an ad too far' and has certainly alienated a large number of users. And by installing these ad-eliminator programs, we could lead to the demise of dooyoo.

Prior to the current crisis, I would click on the ads, just to show traffic, but now that i don't see them, then impact is reduced ... except that I now HATE Nokia ....

I think I know who to direct my 'hate-mail' to at DooYoo.co.uk ....
