Advantages: we can help Dooyoo make money
Disadvantages: too many banners at times
I did have hope that Dooyoo had changed their minds about chopping the money, but now it looks like it has finally happened. I am not sure, but my miles are sitting at 84810 miles, so I assume the 10 = 1p. Anyway that is my rant over with, back to Dooyoo banners. As everyone else will obviously know you can't go anywhere on this site without noticing the Nokia Pop up. I have never given it a chance to load, but I have seen it on the TV often enough, and if I am interested I will go to the website. Every new page I load has it, and yesterday when I was reading an op it appeared 3 times! Another 2 banners I often see at the bottom of reviews are the ad for the Mini. If you click on it you are meant to receive a free Mini air freshener - has anyone ever received one of these? I registered on their site weeks ago due to a link on a freebie site. All I have received was a load of junk mail about the cars, and no freshener. There is also the banner offering the chance to win a free DVD player, but I haven't given this much thought. On the whole I don't mind about banners. They can brighten the site up, and if you find a good deal, or are interested in something then it will benefit you and Dooyoo. We all know Dooyoo receives money from advertising, so if all I have to do is click on a few things to make sure the money will still flow, then it is a small price to pay. Dooyoo might be in trouble with money right now, because they have cut us, but surely all the new adverts can help? I read on a members review last night that she would rather fill out a small survey every month to help the company, than be plagued by banners and pop ups - I agree. Like I said, I don't mind helping, but when the site is overcome by banners and pop ups it does get a bit too much!
