Advantages: useful, ocasionally interesting, pretty

Disadvantages: slows the page, waste of time and space, takes up to much room

don't you just hate banners and pop up boxes. i was viewing a site to day and honest to god it took me 5 minutes for the page to load up because of all the adverts. yeah sometimes they are useful, like 1 out of 10 banners can porvide you with a link to another page but they are rare. and why do they have to be all singing all dancing with little movies on them. but what i hate most is pop up boxes, another site i was on had a pop up box for every page you went on and i feel with these that they just stop you wanting to look any further on the site because of all the pop up boxes which is a shame.
