dooyoo banners: Cool! (165 words)

Having banners on the DooYoo website is a brilliant idea. I`ve only just joined DooYoo on the recomendation of a friend, but I like the idea. I`ve not got much time to write loads of opinions, but i`m planning to reada fair few. The thing is that I think that the people writing poinions deserve to be paid well for their effort, and if DooYoo ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Not outstanding enough (131 words)
by - written on 10/12/00 (Useful, 5 readings)
Rating:

Dooyoo is a pretty unique service, with the exception of a US website that runs a similar service for US residents only. Saying "Shop online with Dooyoo.co.uk" isn't the best way to advertise this service as every other UK website is boasting about having "E-Commerce" functionality. I think that ...  Read the complete review

dooyoo banners: DOOYOO LIKE THE BANNER!!! (164 words)
by - written on 09/12/00
Rating:

My own opinion on the bannners at Dooyoo is that they are pretty cool I especially like the one up at the moment with the father Christmas standing next to the word's "Make better decisions this Christmas" I like this banner because it shows in a direct way the point of Dooyoo checking peoples opinions on things before you consider buying them. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review I've Invented Purest Greeen. (112 words)
by - written on 09/12/00 (Useful, 9 readings)
Rating:

I love the green. It really makes the dooyoo symbol stand out. The Father X-Mas ad is humourous - and quite special as an ad - most just seem to have 3 frames, but this one has loads. I also like the Don't Get Caught in the Rush ad - The black silouhette people look really good on the green. As they are in the same colour ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review dooyoo banners: the animated ones are great! (169 words)
by - written on 05/12/00 (Useful, 7 readings)
Rating:

I don't know if I would actually click on one of the 'review' banners of Dooyoo's if i wasn't already assocaited with Dooyoo... however the little animated ones to do with shopping and christmas are actually really great! They are cute and funky, and I think that I would click on them if I didn't know about dooyoo. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review They actually work!!! (134 words)
by - written on 05/12/00 (Useful, 6 readings)
Rating:

Having been a user of the internet for nearly two years now, I've become immune to most banner advertising, even the 'You've won $20,000,000' variety. maybe it's my natural British tendency to be sceptical about adverts. Since joining DooYoo I've found that I notice the banners on the site a lot more than on other ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review dooyoo banners: Pretty cool... (285 words)
by - written on 04/12/00 (Useful, 23 readings)
Rating:

I quite like the DooYoo banners. They seem to have chosen a colour that stands out and is fairly unique. A limey green banner spotted out the corner of the eye is a DooYoo one. It ties in well with the site. Whether it is the best colour, i don't know, but it establishes a good consistent brand image. I quite like the one ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A cunning advert, I like it. (190 words)
by - written on 03/12/00 (Useful, 17 readings)
Rating:

There is no need for flashing lights and garish colours, just a simple message that leaves you intrested. Dooyoo have realized this quite nicely with their Christmas adverts. They sit nicely in the background, even matching the sites colors, so as not to distract you from your important Dooyooing. One of them caught my eye, and I liked ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review dooyoo banners: dooyoo.co.uk banners rock! (153 words)
by - written on 02/12/00 (Useful, 6 readings)
Rating:

dooyoo.co.uk banners and buttons really do look stylish on any web site. I have placed numerous banners on my web site and they have gone down a storm. I would advise anyone thinking of placing banners on their site to add dooyoo's banners. They make you money while you sit back and relax, and watch other people view your site and click on the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Misinformed? Not likely! (348 words)
by - written on 29/11/00 (Useful, 9 readings)
Rating:

Misinformed? No way! UPDATED The new Dooyoo banners for 2001 are eyecatching and clever. The ones I noticed are the one with the computer exploding, and the one with the stubble/grass. If I saw these on another site they would definitely be worth clicking to see what they were all about. However, my earlier op (below) about having the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review dooyoo banners: Power to the written word! (141 words)
by - written on 29/11/00 (Useful, 8 readings)
Rating:

I like the new banner advertising the book review section. Its short snappy and straight to the point. Although it's simple it is very eye catching. It reminds people about the book review section which is good. As there are literally millions of books out there the book reviews must grow at an astonishing rate. Therefore there ...  Read the complete review

DooYoo do banners? (156 words)
by - written on 27/11/00
Rating:

Normally I hate banners with a passion - they are an excuse for a website to gouge monmey from their visitors without so much as a by-your-leave. The banners on DooYoo are different in my opinion though, for the simple reason that they help give the website more money, most of which will come straight back to their users. Considering the ...  Read the complete review

dooyoo banners: Love 'em Or Hate 'em (188 words)
by - written on 19/11/00
Rating:

Advertisements are something that I endure with as good a grace as I can muster. I know that they are necessary otherwise we wouldn't have ITV or commercial radio or even DooYoo. But I don't have to like them so I ignore them. I must be the advertiser's worst nightmare because there hasn't been an advert made that has ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review AAAAAARGH!!! (132 words)
by - written on 13/11/00 (Useful, 6 readings)
Rating:

As you may have guessed from the title of this post, I cannot be doing with adverts. They use any scheming way possible to persuade and cadjole, but most of the time, blatantly trick the reader into visiting their site. Personally, I never EVER read banners and do not click on them. Even if the webmaster begs me to click, so he can make a whole 2 ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review dooyoo banners: SOME OF THESE ARE GREAT (137 words)
by - written on 05/11/00 (Useful, 34 readings)
Rating:

Particularly the banners taht simpley advertise the Dooyoo site, and not a particular opinion are ones that I really do like. They have clever little ideas, a typical Dooyooish green theme, and animations. An example is the one with a Mobile Phone conversation. The two callers can't hear each other because of a bad signal, and it says they ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Come as you are Condom Banner -- YEUCCH (281 words)
by - written on 04/11/00 (Very useful, 37 readings)
Rating:

O.K, Call me old fashioned if you like, but i can still remember the days when the mere mention of the word "CONDOM" or "DUREX" would have got you expelled from school - or worse ! I welcomed the wind of change when Television suddenly started advertising condoms in an attempt to reverse the rapid advance of AIDS. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review dooyoo banners: What's the criteria to be on a banner? (168 words)
by - written on 01/11/00 (Very useful, 15 readings)
Rating:

If it's all down to the staff at dooyoo's indiscretion then I'm kind of perplexed (although the straight answer is that they trawl through opinions everyday and picking a winner is hard going). What I'm concerned is that only some of the 'fame' is spread around and it isn't a entirely meritocratic process (have ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review dooyoo banner (130 words)
by - written on 31/10/00 (Somewhat useful, 8 readings)
Rating:

Ok I am proud of my country but why do you have to push the union jack at every available opportunity. I am ashamed of the jingoism that goes on at fottball matches in Europe and this banner has all the ingredients of that. I know Dooyoo have launched in Europe but do you actually want Europeans to join or not. With this banener they are going to ...  Read the complete review
