Advantages: Some great flowers at cheap prices

Disadvantages: Some terrible flowers, poor service and bad delivery timing

Flying Flowers sell flowers by post and by courier and you can order online, over the phone or via post. Their catalogues come monthly and i would recommend these as the best way to choose you bouquet as the photographs are much better than the ones online. If you order by post make sure you leave a couple of weeks or it's unlikely that they will arrive on the day you hope they will.

Ordering online is quick and simple unless you have trouble getting it to accept the address you want to send to.

Over the phone i have received a very mixed response. Sometimes i'm greeted with someone really happy and will ing to help with any order or problem and other times you get people that are frankly quite rude and can't string a polite sentence together.

The choice of flowers is seasonal and quite varied although you can't make up your own bouquet. Bouquets are cheap ranging from £9.99 up to about £50 for courier delivered bouquets. Courier bouquets are guaranteed to be delivered on the day you request and postal bouquets - well it all depends on the Royal Mail - needless to say sending a postal bouquet is not such a reliable choice if you need it there within a specific timeframe.

Bouquets have varied in quality from exceptional to pretty poor. I have had need to complain a couple of times and once they were quite awkward (i must stresss that i am always polite and calm when making a complaint as i know it's not the fault of the person on the end of the phone). But once someone took it quite defensively and was very unhelpful and another time i was offered a refund and replacement or vouchers.

For a cheap gift i think they are ok but if you want a special bouquet don't use Flying Flowers. They are ok but their service in all areas (flower quality, delivery, customer service etc) is very inconsistent.

Summary: If you want to take a risk and save some money use flying flowers
