It is a mission to find your way around Haringey Council in general, I tried to apply for a job on-line and that was something in itself! They decided to change out rubbish collection day without warning, which put me out a bit. I used to fix their PC's for them, and I don't think they have a bloody clue about Health & Safety! Trailing wires, Laptop PC's left on the floor... There is chaos in Alexandra House, their main office. But councils spend more on their 'value & diversity' and 'gender-reassignment outreach & integration' strategies than on IT or Council Websites. In common with most inner city boroughs, Haringey, in north-east london, has little cash to spare on its web site. In fact, all you got until very recently, was s single page with frames - the main frame was long a-z list of council services, and the side frames simply for buttons and a search box. recently, the council has added a foot and mouth disease page, with no information that you didn't know already from the news. phone numbers listed on the site - such as in the housing services area - are often out of date and unobtainable. bearing in mind there's no real information on the web site that you can't get from somewhere ...  Read the complete review
