Advantages: Fun for a bit

Disadvantages: Doesn't really advertise i-village

This ad grabbed my attention, which is quite a feat in itself as I have a very short attention span.
It is slightly mysterious as it does not say what i/village is, but it still entreated me to link to it.

The lure of finding out more about your name is a fantastic way to get ppl to link to it as we are now all obsessed with getting in touch with our 'real self', and anyone with a childlike mind (like me) can be amused for ages typing in the names of everyone and anyone they know just beacuse.

Also the use of the Mona Lisa leads you to think this is a sophistcated website, which I believed to be some kind of database of a kind of personality test site such as emode.com, so as you can imagine I was quite surprised to be confronted by a baby naming site.

I think may be a bit off-putting at first as this site is 'pregnancy & baby' to help you choose a name for a baby, but if that was on the banner iI probably wouldn't have even bothered looking at it so..... I suppose the banner worked!!

It may not be the best ad for i/village as it does not directly link to it and people could just link to the naming page and not look at the rest of the site (as I did) but I still had fun finding out that by name I am a princess and my boyfriend a cart-maker hehehe! ;)
