Newtownabbey is a small council within northern ireland. They are a part of arc 21 which is a network of all the councils in northern ireland. They are not as big as Belfast city council. They have a good team though and very well orgainsed. They have various lesiure centres around newtownabbey and some nice parks too , that they look after well.

They have good services for when you are looking your bins emptied they have there own clensing section and also heavy goods collections which is big things that are bulky that you can not dump yourself. So this is used as a special collection. Although it takes three to four days for it to be lifted but it does get lifted.

The only bad thing is they do not have their own pest control. Actually I am not too sure if they have their own litter pickers for cleaning the streets as in all my time in newtownabbey I have never seen one street cleaner. That does not mean to say that they dont have street cleaners.

Newtownabbey council run there areas well and put on very few events because it is so small , but it does do some events. There is also a nice shore line and coast line and it is kept very clean. So I have to say keep doing a good job yous are doing. Well Done
