The Home Page. -------------- When you log onto the Peterborough City Councils web site, the green background strikes you. Although some people may find the site layout dab, in actual fact it represents Peterborough's status. You see Peterborough is a green city. It strives to promote green issues, such as cycle routes, recycling and nature reserves. I will give you more information on this later. The home page gives you a warm welcome, and underneath, it explains that Peterborough City Council is a unitary council providing all local government services to the people of Peterborough and surrounding villages. Peterborough, there's a place that no one would have neard of a few years ago and even now, it's the city that you drive past on the A1! What people fail to realise is that apart from some of the Peterborians, it has an awful to offer on the service front. Firstly, the Peterborough City Website, is fantastic, it does actually inform you of the goings on in and around Peterborough and if yoiu can't find what you're looking for on their web site, it gives you alternative ways of contacing the appropriate people at the council, who'll be best equipped to answer your queries.
