Advantages: Having followed my curiosity, Dooyoo has turned out to be one of my favourite sites of all time.
Disadvantages: You can't be sure from the adverts what this site is all about
Whilst in London only a couple of months ago, I had a great deal of travelling on the tube to do. If you have ever had to endure the same experience, I'm sure that you will agree with me that it is not the sort of thing you would choose to do every morning. Anyway, back to the point. Having caught an all too early train from the outskirts of the city to Baker's Street, I soon become (as always) oh so bored after only a couple of minutes. I therefore turned (like everyone else) to reading the boringly repetitive adverts that were plastered all over the sides of the carriage. Now, something that has always puzzled me about the underground is why do advertising chiefs never try and put interesting adverts up? The underground has to be one of the most boring places on earth and this means that a decent ad is going to catch everbody's eye. Having looked around 6 or 7 adverts already I was still thoroughly bored and then i spotted a bright green advert a little way down the carriage. It drew the eye straight to it and once you had seen it, you couldn't help but wondering who would want to be so bold and brash. I read on and came to the name of the company (www.dooyoo.co.uk of course) and seeing as this meant nothing to me I decided to read on further. Now, I don't know whether it is a plus or a minus or what, but it is very hard to explain the principle of dooyoo if you haven't visited it. It just seems so strange that someone will pay you for other people reading what you have written about things. Anyway, this could obviously not be explained on a small advert with a few seconds of reading time available. This must have just sparked my curiosity off and it told me that I just had to have a try with this site as I couldn't lose even if it was a pants site. That night I went online to check the site out and came to the opening page. As I still had no real clue as to what the site was
, I went to the about dooyooo bit and it soon became clear to me. So I just signed up then and there and thought off we go then. Trouble is though I've become a bit addicted to the site and can't stop visiting. Overall, the advert must have worked a treat as here I am now writing this. The site is great and I am just loving my stay here.

TigerTiger - 07/04/01 I'm glad that the adverts worked for you and that you found dooyoo! Now they just have to work on advertising outside of London. |
