Tinnitus:
... the family.
The biggest problem is with background noise. Trying to hear what people are saying in noisy environments can be a real trial. The interaction of the hissing and the background noise acts rather like the White Noise that is used deliberately to mask conversations. This also applies to TV programs.
I also find severe problems with "difficult" accents. It's amazing how much you rely on... Read the full review: Pardon!? by grahamt |

Knee Injuries ... way with all but the doctors word that I had possibly torn a ligament and I should put no weight on my leg. I had a week off work and then had to struggle to commute into London on crutches which really hurt my hands. It was not untill January that I got the results of my MRI scan and was diagnosed with a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament as it turns out this is a really important part of ones knee if any kind of sport is to be played in the future. My Experience of Self Injury ... in LifeSIGNS at present, and therefore I can't really be promoting the website which is outside the control of the charity trustees. It is a long and complicated story (and I don't really wish to go into it), but it will be resolved in due course (and then I will update this). The upshot is that the charity will most likely be renaming in the near future and we will then be deciding how to move forward and what services we will be offering. I came across LifeSIGNS in February 2005, and joined the message board. I became very involved, and in November 2005 became a volunteer director and one of the three trustees in January 2006. It is/was a user-led organisation (w... Read the full review: Self-Injury and my life by marymoose |
