Advantages: Painless, relaxing, and there are not any side affects that I can find

Disadvantages: Through the NHS the demand is great, so the opportunities are rare, and private regular sessions can be expensive

I have had three sessions of accupuncture, over three years. this has been through a pain clinic. I have a chronic pain condition, and it was recommended that I had a session of accupuncture.
At first i was very sceptical, the thought of someone sticking pins in me was not a pleaseant thought. However, the actuallity was much different. The practioner was very understanding, and chatted away to me as she placed the neddles in my back. Then she left me to relax with a relaxation tape for about 10 mins. I had five sessions adn then was refered baxk to the clinic for a review.
The result was very benefitial, unfortunatly as it was a NHS clinic I had to wait 10 months for my next session adn 11 months for the third and final one. It would have been good to have had backup sessions in between but it is expensive.
