Advantages: Clean Healthy Hair
Disadvantages: None
Over the years I have tried and tested many different kinds of shampoos, not really staying loyal to any particular type, whichever offer was on at that time would be my motto. I tried Alberto V05 Moisturising Shampoo for dry/colour treated hair because it was on BOGOF (buy one get one free) at Boots (as usual), so I could buy both the shampoo and the conditioner for the bargain basement price of only £1.99 for both instead of £1.99 each. I regularly get lowlights through my hair so that along with blow drying, using straightening irons etc means my hair usually takes a fair old battering and tends to get dry ends if not looked after properly, anyone who knows me will tell you I spend a lot of time and effort with my hair cause it?s so thick if not looked after it could easily be mistaken for rats tails. And V05 seemed very appealing coming in a 300ml blueish metallic plastic rounded bottle with flip lid (easy to open) and the usual logos etc on the front. It promises to remove built up and styling residues, also stating it will give your hair a good deep clean removing all those nasty residues without stripping your hair of all it?s natural oils to leave your hair and scalp nice and refreshed. The shampoo contains time release vitamins, for example vitamins A, E and Pro-Vitamin B5 are released into your hair as it dries, either naturally or during blow drying, the end result being that your hair retains moisture all day by up to 62% even after 24 hours. It is suitable for regular use. The shampoo itself is creamy white that?s very rich in texture with a nice scent (although not strong at all) that can only be described as refreshing and revitalizing, the amount of shampoo you need will depend on the length of your hair, for example mine is below shoulder length but I find I don?t actually need that much probably an amount similar to the size of a 50 pence piece will be sufficient to get a nice creamy lather in my hair,
instructions say to wet your hair, lather and rinse thoroughly, repeat if necessary, it rinses out quite easily, I had no problems at all but if any gets in eyes please rinse thoroughly and immediately with water cause it will nip (one speaks from experience here). So my hair has been washed, what did I think?? It left my hair feeling very soft, silky and manageable with a nice fresh clean scent, I would even go as far as to say it brings some of the shine back into my hair making my colouring look great. Would I recommend?? Yes, definitely, not many actually live up to their claims as most of you out there will be able to relate to but I believe that V05 actually does live up to everything it promises. I have been using this for a while now and have to say I have been left quite pleased with the difference in my hair, for example when drying my hair it does not go quite as frizzy, leaving it almost moisturised and feeling overall healthier. I do wash my hair quite often and a 300ml bottle usually lasts me about 1 month or so, I tend to stock up when offers are on at Boots. It also advises for best results to use along with V05 conditioner, which I also do but that?s another opinion.
