Cheapest CAN be best (Astral)

It has been a lifelong quest for me to find the perfect facial moisturiser. I have tried most of them over the years ranging from the ones on offer by Estee Lauder, Clinique et al, to Olay & Garnier. I even splashed out on a tub of Creme de la Mer. However, money being a bit tight one day, and remembering that Joanna Lumley swears by it, I bought my first pot of Astral about 6 months ago.

I have to admit the packaging is slightly off puttting, it looks very cheap and nasty. I found it in Boots, next to all the "bargain basement " products, which again put me off- how could anything so cheap actually work?? It reminded me of the stuff that old ladies may have lurking on their dressing tables.

The product itself is rich and creamy with a fairly pleasant fragrance. It absorbs well into your skin, and can be used under make up . It might be a bit rich for someone with oily skin though.

I have been using it morning and night and can honestly say that it performs like a star!. My skin can be very sensitive, and can often feel a bit tight with dry angry patches at times, but there has been a distinct improvement since I have been using Astral. Moreover it hasn't caused any flare ups of spots or blackheads.

I suppose the best compliment that can be paid was that a few weeks ago, one of my colleagues mentioned that she had noticed that my skin had been looking remarkably well over the past few months and that I "didn't have one wrinkle!" Now, I'm in my mid 30's so that was certainly music to my ears!
