Most of the feedback is that this products makes your hair very greasy and unmanagable, and usually results in having to wash the hair after applying it, as it is so dirty looking after using it! I have to admit that after trying this product for myself, I found this to be the case for my own hair too. On the other hand, the hairbrushes are fantastic quality and value, with Avon often including them in deals like 3 for £10 which is great value when you ...more

Premium Review Avon Advance Techniques in general: There is Good and Bad from Advance Techniques (428 words)
by - written on 04/11/08 (Very useful, 69 readings)
Rating:

I have good and bad to say about the Advance Techniques Hair Care range by Avon. There are some products I am absolutely thrilled with and others I wish I hadn't wasted my money on. The hairbrushes are the first good thing on my list. I have taken advantage of various offers throughout the year including one great deal that allowed me to buy three hairbrushes for £5. I chose the paddle brush, the cushion brush and the detangling comb and am extremely impressed with all three, especially the cushion brush. These brushes are solid quality and will last for a good few years. They're not like the cheap ones you get from the market with hollow handles and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Avon Heat Treatment (582 words)

I don't really try fancy hair products too often because most of the time I think it's a waste of time but I recently had my hair bleached blond, subtle but lovely and the hairdresser said because of the bleach I should probably do a heat treatment on my hair at some point. As I didn't want to spend much money on it so it took me a while to find one that I liked but eventually I found the Advanced Techniques range from Avon. We all know Avon, the catalogue beauty company that you can now also buy over the internet. I actually used to sell Avon when I was younger and have always liked their products. They seem to be good quality, not top notch but ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Avon Advance Techniques in general: Essential For naughty Schoolgirl Hair! (618 words)

This is about Avon Advanced techniques deep conditioning mask. I?m really not the kind of person who goes to a hair salon every week and gut?s my hair washed and blow dried and finished etc. in fact I only get my hair cut every 2 months or so, but I haven?t been for about 3 as I?m trying to grow my hair long again. So no haircut means nasty split ends. I had to find a product that got rid of them, or at least made my hair feel loved. Funnily enough, the next day someone dropped an Avon catalogue in. So many products, so little cash, luckily I didn?t need to worry because Avon is great value for money, and I didn?t have to pay for about three weeks. Of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Is Yours White and Thick - or Pale and Runny? (893 words)

Yes, Avon do other products, not just make-up! I have recently been trying out some of their shampoos and conditioners in their Avon Advance Techniques range. Instead of writing one opinion per item, I’ve decided to put them all together in one op. The range consists of shampoos and conditioners to suit different hair types - replenishing for normal hair, volumising for thin, fine or oily hair (Sounds better than greasy!), hydrating for dry hair and restructuring for permed, processed or colour-treated hair. Each bottle contains 250ml. For all hair types, there are also specialised treatments available. In this part, you can choose from an ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Avon Advance Techniques in general: DO YOU LOOK LIKE KEN DODD (539 words)

A good thing about being an Avon Rep is I get freebies or items at a cheaper price. The detangling spray was another bargain I got out of the Rep's demonstration offers. I got a bulk order of shampoos'conditioners etc and got them for a really good price. I sold most of them on, but kept this spray for my husbands long hair. He has very dry and brittle hair and it tangles realy easy. The bottle is plastic with a pump spray and comes in a handy 150ml size. I thought I would test it on his hair one night as it was getting tangled by the minute. After washing his hair, hey I even did that for him, I towelled dried his hair to shake the excess drops of ...  Read the complete review
