Advantages: Excellent brushes, serums and styling products.
Disadvantages: Terrible conditioners!
I have good and bad to say about the Advance Techniques Hair Care range by Avon. There are some products I am absolutely thrilled with and others I wish I hadn't wasted my money on.
The hairbrushes are the first good thing on my list. I have taken advantage of various offers throughout the year including one great deal that allowed me to buy three hairbrushes for £5. I chose the paddle brush, the cushion brush and the detangling comb and am extremely impressed with all three, especially the cushion brush. These brushes are solid quality and will last for a good few years. They're not like the cheap ones you get from the market with hollow handles and bristles that break off with every use!
The next thing I really like are the styling products, especially the shine spray and the root booster. Both products are very competitively priced and extremely effective at doing what they claim to do. The hair spray and liquid spray wax are both excellent quality as well and all of these are on two for £4 in the brochure 17 so if you are feeling like trying something new then this is a good time.
The one thing I do not like and never recommend from this range is the conditioners. I have tried three different ones to date from this current range and all of them have left me disappointed. They are really thick which is a good sign but I find them hard to massage in and really quite ineffective which is a shame. I find the Naturals 2in1s do a better job than these Advance Techniques seperates do which is not what you expect as the norm.
The final one to avoid from this range is the Intense Repair Moisture Mask which costs £3.50 for a 150ml tub. This deep conditioner (allegedly) is thick, hard to massage in and has little or no effect beyond a cheap average conditioner.
Ending on a good note, I really love the Daily Results Dry Ends Serum which is absolutely amazing at deeply penetrating and hydrating my hair in a few quick spritzes. It costs £4.50 for a 30ml bottle and is best snapped up when it is on special offer. There is good and bad to be had in this range but you can always order things, try them, and return them for a full refund if you are not happy with them. Representatives do not mind returning things if it means keeping the customer happy.
Summary: I recommend trying a few things out.
