I have been looking forward to the short break I have just taken for months and months now. I first found out about Ayurveda UK last April, when a Daily Mail reporter wrote an article about her own stay. I initially enquired back then but decided I could not really afford to go at that time. However, as we entered the New Year 2002, I had been thinking about enquiring again, when they mailed me out some marketing information. I grabbed the bull by the horns, and took the first week available, which was last week. Ayurveda UK is in ... Read the complete review

I am fortunate to be a pretty healthy person and do not visit the doctors very often and because of this in October I received a letter from my doctors surgery inviting me to make an appointment at the well women clinic; after thinking about it for a couple of weeks I decided to make an appointment. After having my blood pressure taken and height and weight noted I was asked some general questions about my health and then the nurse explained that the point of the visit was to ensure my ... I am a qualified Indian Head Massage therapist in Leeds and since I started giving this treatment I have been amazed at how pleasurable and effective people find the therapy. Indian Head Massage the shoulders, back, neck, head and face. It is a most pleasurable and therapeutic programme which concentrates on the areas most vulnerable to stress and tension. This therapy induces peace, tranquillity and promotes high levels of alertness and concentration. It also aids sleep and stimulates lymphatic drainage. Ayurvedic medicine is a traditional Indian system of Medicine. The word Ayurveda comes from two Sanskrit words –Ayur means life and veda means knowledge. Ayurveda relies more on preventing illnesses before they occur than treating them once they have manifested themselves. The patient keeps in close contact with his practitioner who monitors every thing about the patient – his diet, sex life, conditions at home and at work right down to the choice of spouse. He can then advise changes when necessary. If an illnes does occur then it is treated with one of almost 8000 remedies. It is particularly succesful for conditions brought on or aggravated by stress such ... Read the complete review
