Update... I forgot to add... and this is as important as anything, I had the support of a wonderful wife, and three great kids, in my fight to get believed......They stuck by me despite the deep depression, mood swings and still do. --------------------------------------------- I have suffered with a chronic, degenerative, back injury for 14yrs now... and the hell I had to go through to get anyone to listen to start with is beyond words. At work one day, and I love to work and loved my job, I was loading a machine with some gum, no not the chewy type but the stuff that comes out of trees and is used in cooking and so on.. I worked as a miller ... Read the complete review

I was born with arthrogyposis multiplex congetia, and at age of 11 I started going to Shriners hospital in St Louis, Missouri. December 1969 I checked in, my mom went back home to Tulsa Oklahoma the same day. I was on warb B in a room of five other girls. They were five rooms on the ward. There was a girl there who had a halo traction, (she was 11 years old). They were going operated on her before they operated on me. She was the first child, ever, to have the operation, and I would be the second. We would teased each other and say she was Miss Halo OF 1969 . Then I was Miss Halo of 1970. In February they done my surgery. First they shaved my ... Read the complete review

Now this is something I've been wrestling with for a while. How to write about something that was the biggest part of my life for five long years. That's how long it took me to come to terms with my condition, Chronic Disc Generation Disease, and its most terrible symptom: unable to sit up or walk for eighteen months... learning to walk for the following three and a half years. I began to write about this a while ago, a factual catalogue of some very bitter experiences... and I found I couldn't do it. Too close to the bone. What I did discover, over time, was a way of writing around it. To put fact into a fictionalised framework. Keep the facts, but ... Read the complete review

This is the first opinion I've written after a break of over two weeks. I haven't been able to read or write for Dooyoo for all this time because I've been suffering (and I do mean SUFFERING!) with a back injury, the exact nature of which seems to have flummoxed both the medical establishment and the alternative practitioner I've been visiting in a desperate attempt to get some respite from the pain. It all began after a routine gym visit, when I did my usual round of cardio and free weight exercises without suffering any pain or injuring myself so far as I can remember. I went home and pottered around happily for a few hours without any ... Read the complete review

As always I have split the opinion into sections for easy of reading! (Well so you can skip the bits that don’t interest you. The first bit is my experience of doctors and back pain, the interesting bit is at the bottom, titled. The solutions) My predicament. When I was a stupid teenager we used to do stupid things, one of these was ride a motorbike. Now you may wonder what all this has to do with back pain, well if I hadn’t have been riding home from a friends house one Friday evening I would never have ended up with a bad back at all. In short I got knocked off my and the next thing I remember is waking up in hospital and thinking, Ouch! Ouch! ... Read the complete review
