Once upon a time I used to have nail varnish in every colour under the sun, my nails were a different colour every day and everything was super. My nails matched my shoes, eye shadow, bags and earrings, and so my obsession for colour coordination was satisfied. Then one awful day, my pots of sheer colour wonderment started to turn a little bit stodgy, with a heavy heart I threw them all out and tried to replace them. Every once in awhile something comes along that is simply surprising. Barry M cosmetics are just that surprising. I happened across the brand while on a shopping trip to london. I had trained in Cosmetics at college and had always wanted to be a make-up artist (but theres no money in it, unless your famous), so I have more than just the usual love of Cosmetis, I am a confessed addict. I don’t know about you, but whenever I go into my local boots to buy makeup, I always end up leaving disappointed. This is usually because I can’t find any colours that interest me. Being rather pale in complexion, I generally can’t get away with wearing the bright red or coral pink lipsticks available, and all these green and brown eyeshadows make me look as if I’ve had a showdown with someone’s fist. If I can find a colour that suits my complexion, chances are it won’t suit my personality, and I’ll end up looking frowsy and bland in a collection of palest pink, blandest beige, and grimmest grey.
