My first "makeover" experience didn't go at all well. The lady wearing caked-on make-up at the Estée Lauder counter went more than a little crazy. I walked away, looking like Barbara Cartland and the Pink Panther's bizarre love child. To this very day, even a glimpse of pink eye shadow makes me want to throw up. A few months later, a new House of Fraser store opened in my hometown, with a posh new cosmetics department, stocking many of the hand-to-find brands I'd heard eulogised in magazines. One of these was Bobbi Brown. At the time, Bobbi Brown cosmetics had scarcely been available in this country outside London. From all ... Read the complete review

First of all, to clarify things, just in case, this review isn't about Whitney Houston's husband...:) I've heard about and read many good reviews on Bobbi Brown makeup but what caught my attention most were the comments that it especially suits women with very yellow undertones which applies to me. I'd also read the few reviews here where women had had very positive experiences at the Bobbi Brown counter with very knowledgeable sales assistants. However most of these were based on stores in the US, in particular, New York where the Bobbi Brown line originated. I started using Bobbi Brown in 2005 because a friend of mine suggested it. I first bought the Bronzing Brick which is around £27 but is a brick of 5 shades (various colours, I use "Bronze") and you can use it for various things. You could brush it across your cheeks or use it as 5 eye shadows - just to name a few. I then started to use Bobbi Brown eye liner gel, its a tiny pot but it lasts forever and if you buy an eye liner brush with it, you can really create a lovely look. As I said, the gel lasts forever and comes in many colours, although I tend to buy 1 Black Ink. I then started to use Bobbi Brown eye shadows, followed ... Read the complete review

I have been an avid fan of Bobbi Brown for a number of years now, using a wide range of the products, making repeat purchases of much favoured and well used items. Difficult to give an ultimate favourite in the range, though the eye and lip palettes are tremendous. Although the range is oft considered to be in the higher price bracket for make up, the quality both in the aesthetically pleasing packaging and in the quality of the products is justification enough. The accessories, brushes and makeup bags again are of again of the same consistent very high quality - may seem expensive when compared to other brands, however again the superior quality justifies the price. ... Bobbi Brown cosmetics are some of the nicest makeup products available. I love Bobbi Brown's style and designs as well as the practicality and successfulness of the makeup. There are many shades of all types of products, and the well-trained, amiable Bobbi Brown saleswomen are very willing to help find the pefect palette for you. There is an extensive variety of foundations and powders, so that the exact match can be found foryour skin. There is also a skincare line to go with the makeup. The saleswomen for Bobbi Brown are true makeup artists, and they are happy to give you a makeover, perhaps on your way to a special dinner or just on a plain old day when you feel ...
