I'm not very keen on tattoos or body piercing. I am quite squeamish and the idea of making holes all over the body just doesn't really appeal to me.

However, I do like the idea of body art. Especially temporary henna tattoos. I find henna tattoos great because they are temporary and also because I personally feel that they look nicer than permanent tattoos. They are also safer as there are no needles involved.

Henna is widely available in the UK. It can be bought in two different forms, in powder form, which you then mix at home to make a paste, or ready made in the form of a paste. Ready made paste's usually come in a cone, which you then use to apply the henna. However, there are so many proffessional places where you can have your henna tattoo done. It has become so popular, you will find people who can apply henna tattoos in many places. Your best bet however, is a beauty salon, and an Asian beauty salon is even better because they will definately do henna, as an asian bride usually has to have henna on her hands and feet.

Henna tattoos are not the only form of body art available. There are many temporary forms ofbody art on the market. You can buy body paints, bindis that you can just stick on.

Theres a whole load of safe stuff out there, I would suggest you try the variety out there before going and getting a permanent tattoo done.

Sorry about the SU but it would have been good to read about for eg. where you can buy Henna Tattoo's, how much you can expect to pay, how long they last etc. I like the look of the Henna designs on the hands..thats really different :)
