Advantages: Works of art, keeping memories alive.

I personally like tattoos but not all of them. I think that blokes with tattoo sleeves look better than if a girl had them done. I'm not saying all girls don't look right with them because i think the famous Kat Von D looks good with sleeves. I see body tattoos as a work of art not just ruining the skin with some ink.

So far i only have one tattoo on my right wrist and i have had my name in swirly writing. I had this done because i thought i cant really regret having my name in 40 or so years time!
I am planning on getting more but what makes mine special to me is that i have designed them myself and that they have meaning to me personally.

I remember when i was on holiday in tenerife, i had a henna tattoo done which i thought looked amazing at the time and when i went to school everyone thought i had a real one done. I hated to say it wasnt real haha.

I'm not too sure on people having totally random tattoos that they might regret or people all having the same tattoo just to follow trend at the time.

The one thing that confuses me when having a tattoo is the healing process. Some people are told to use creams like bepanthan or pile cream. But then when my friend had her tattoo done, she was told to just let the air heal it. I suppose as long as it heals properly it doesnt really matter which one you do.

The things not to do when you have a new tattoo is, bathing it for a long period of time in the first two weeks and not exposing it to the sun for long periods of time.If a tattoo becomes infected or if the scab falls off too soon, then the ink will not be properly fixed in the skin and the final image will be negatively affected.
