Advantages: looks nice
Disadvantages: can be expensive
I am a big fan of body art and have several myself. I think that they are very attractive and they can look really nice.
I do regret my first tattoo though as I was only 17 and I really wanted one to see what they were like so I decided just to have a small flower on my upper arm. I really wish I hadn't had this as even though it was not really expensive (£10) I don't think it serves a purpose as its so small it looks lost on my arm. I Am thinking of having another and covering that up.
I had my second tattoo when I was 20 and this one I really like. It was of a bee and that was on my other arm. I don't know why I chose to have a bee I just really liked the picture at the time. I think it is a bad idea to actually go into the tattoo shop and pic a design there and then rather than thinking about what you want done first. This cost me £25 and still looks nice.
I also have several stars going up my leg. I designed this myself and my friend who does tattoos did this for me. I liked the idea of having this done as I know I created this and no one will have the same as me. I think it's a good idea to try and design one you self. The only down fall is the price as I think if you design it yourself they can become rather expensive. I really like tattoos and have several myself. I think its good to have one as it makes you an individual.
Overall I don't regret having any tattoos and will have more. I do often think though that it will be funny in years to come when today's generation are in care homes and the carers will see a ton of tattoos on their residents bums etc or holes in their bodies where body bars used to be.
Summary: good
