Advantages: no sweaty bits on your nose

Disadvantages: higher maintenance than glasses

I can't say I prefer my contact lenses to my glasses but they do come in useful sometimes!

I wear my glasses all day but because I work with a computer (all day!) I find that if I wear contact lenses my eyes dry out and get sore (nice thought!!!). So I have to wear my glasses for that.

When I go out after two drinks I can't see straight anyway so don't bother wearing glasses or contact lenses then.

So when do I wear them??? Well, if it's hot weather I tend to prefer contact lenses. There's nothing worse than wearing your glasses and having a sweaty bit on your nose.

I am also very lazy and can't be bothered to clean the lenses. I buy the daily disposables now. They are a little bit more expensive but it's worth it, less hassle and you don't have to get up as early. Extra five minutes asleep I reckon.

The contact lenses I wear the most are crazy lenses. I wear these for effect rather than to see. Currently I am on the fire ones which are yellow and red. You get great results when you wear them and some very strange looks! Unfortunately they are quite uncomfortable and you have to clean them!

Contact lenses are great if you don't want to wear glasses but I don't think that they can completely replace them.

The only reason I feel they can't replace them is the fact that you are usually limited to the number of hours you can wear them, having said that there are new types that can be worn much longer (even when sleeping) which might possibly allow glasses to be completely replaced.
