Advantages: cheap, easy, quick, great shaped brows every time
Disadvantages: none
I'm a pretty lazy person when it comes to my beauty routine. I like simple and quick products that make life easy. A particular hatred of mine was plucking my eyebrows. It takes so long, I never knew which hair to pluck and I always have a few hairs which really make my eyes water. To be honest I hate it so much I've even used the pop up trimmer on my husbands electric shaver to trim them!!! I'd seen in magazines those kits that you can get to make your eyebrows the same shape as a celebrities. Trouble with them was they were about £15 and were only stencils. Back to the razor and painstaking tweezers! One day I was mooching around after some product or another in Superdrug when I found gold! Well Surgi-Cream Brow Shapers. These are "eyebrow shaped depilating strips". In English they are wax strips cut into eyebrow shapes so you always get a good result. At only £2 for 21 applications they seemed like a bargain, and the package states that they are "virtually goof proof!", so I bought them and headed offf home. The instructions are simple you put the strip on and then rip it off leaving you with neat eyebrows. The strips are gently curved and it is easy to tell the upper and lower brow strips apart. The first time I used the strips I had to re-do my brows as I wasn't pulling hard enough. Once I got used to the ripping part I was well away. My eyebrows are always neat and it takes less than 5 minutes to do them. As with all wax products the waxed area does go a bit pink but I find that goes after about 30 minutes as it would with plucking. I'd recommend this product to anyone as it is simple, quick, easy to use and the results are great. Plus it is way cheaper than going to the salon every month for an eyebrow shape!

- 24/07/02 They sound like a good idea, but I'd be a bit worried about applying them incorrectly, too! :-) |

- 24/07/02 I'd be a bit worried about using these - imagine if you put 'em on crooked? You'd look permanently puzzled! |
