Advantages: Variety of emollients

I suffer from Atopic Eczema, which is one, the commonest form of eczema. One of the most common symptoms of atopic eczema is its itchiness, which can be almost unbearable especially in the summer months. Other symptoms include overall dryness of the skin, redness and some inflammation.

The E45 range of emollients are really good I find as they reduce water loss from the skin, preventing the dryness normally associated with eczema. They provide a seal or barrier,and the skin feels less dry, itchy and more comfortable.

There emollients are safe to use as often as is necessary and are available in various forms: ointments, creams, lotions thes are aplied directly to the skin, whilst others are used as soap substitutes or can be added to the bath. It even has it own sun range which I use when I go on holidays.

After usng E45 I tend not to itch as much but remember it may be necessary to try several before the most suitable one is found as some contain substances to which some people are sensitive.
