Advantages: Excellent coverage, Keeps make up on your face

Disadvantages: Can be pricey, but lasts for ages

Like many others on a budget, I always used to purchase make-up such as Boots No7, Rimmel, Loreal etc. However, I used to find that by at least lunchtime, it was nearly non-existent, and as a colleague once pointed out, when I was feeling ill, it was as if the make up had 'fallen off my face' (I never found it)! A friend who was a previous Clinique girl, had recently been recommended to use Estee Lauder, and in turn, recommended it to me. The first product I was introduced to was the Lucidity foundation. I had not worn foundation for years, as I found it felt too heavy on my skin, so initially I was given a tester pot. Talk about value for money - it lasted me for 3 weeks! I found it to be very light on my skin, and it actually kept the make-up in place! Also, I have very fair colouring (so obviously look ghostly when the make-up does its disappearing act) but did not find that I had the 'orange' face look (classy)!!!!
The foundation is £15, which when compared to other brands, may seem expensive, but to put it in perspective, keeps the make up where it was intended to be - on your face, and my last bottle lasted me 6 months (and I am one of those birds that cannot be seen without my 'face' on first, so was using it daily)!

A lot of people say that the products are quite pricey, but at certain times of the year, Estee Lauder do a 'Bonus Time', where if you purchase any 2 products, you get a free gift pack, which will include things like a full size lipstick, and minatures, such as eyeshadows, moisturisers, night cream, etc (usually at least 5-6 products). This is a great way of getting to try different products in the range, so if you are on a budget, do what I do, and make sure if you need to replace things, you do it at this time! You can get added to their mailing list by asking at the beauty counter, so they write to you when they are having the next 'Bonus Time'

Oooh, I never knew they had a mailing list. I don't buy lots of make-up, but when I do, I tend to buy the more expensive stuff. My Clinique foundation was about £17 so that's not too unreasonable a price. Quality does sometimes = price!

This is worth knowing about. I might treat myself.

I wouldn't normally have read an opinion on make up, as i'm not into cross dressing. But as I'm new I thought to myself, "why not, shows what people can do across a wider range of topics." So nice opinion, Andy.
