I spent part of this weekend hunting for sports sandals (see below for update on how they were to wear). Not just any old sports sandals - that would have been too easy. I was looking for sandals that could be used in the sea, because I'm off on holiday to a place where the beaches are stony. And I've cut my toe on a beach before, and twice would be silly (also it hurt quite a bit - I had to get the bits of sand out with the point of my nail scissors - youch!). Now, buying waterproofed sandals sounds as though it should be easy. Surely lots of people want them, especially for kids. In fact, a few years ago it was easy, because sports sandals were ... I was just ‘browsing’ around dooyoo for inspiration, when I came upon this category. Eureka! This category could have been designed just for me! Allow me to explain. I am relatively tall, being approximately 5 feet 7 inches in height, this has never been a problem for me, except possibly when I first came to stay in Glasgow and overnight I went from being one of the shortest people in my school class to being one of the tallest people in the entire school. That aside, I enjoy my height especially these days, when nearly everybody in Glasgow appears to be around the same height as myself - or is it that I have found out ... Read the complete review

I seem to be something of an exception in this day and age - I want shoes that I can walk in. I'm not talking about the hundred yard from the car to the house that most people walk, but actually walking a few miles every day. If anyone shares my problem, perhaps these experiences will prove helpful. Being female, the quest for shoes that look presentable and are servicable has been suprisingly hard over the last few years. I used to wear Doc martin boots, and would at one time have totally recomended them. growing coercial success has seen the prices riased to a ludicrous level, and the quality drop alarmingly - the boots are no longer well ... Picture the scene.....you've been on your feet all day, probably cramped into some ridiculous heels and you hobble into your house and kick them off, suddenly your feet can breathe...bliss. BUT suddenly a chill hits your feet, then you stand on drawing pin and your fte becomes clear...slippers. Where would feet be without the warmth and safety of a nice pair of slippers, many people shun them as unfashionable items, but I wear mine with pride (even sometimes to the corner shop for that late night pintof milk dash). If I could I think I'd wear slippers all the time, and would undoubtedly have happier feet for it. ... Read the complete review

When I was a young girl trying my hardest to be 'trendy' hearing the word 'Clarks' sent a shiver down my spine. In those days the words 'Clarks' and 'trendy' would never have appeared in the same sentence. I wanted to go to Barratts for my shoes like all my friends but my mother insisted on Clarks because they "were better for my feet". So, instead of the lovely white kitten heels that I dreamt about everynight I had the horror of poohy brown clompy lace ups! They say you turn into your parents and I am a prime example of that. When my son decided to take his first steps at 11 months old I promptly marched him ... Read the complete review
