Advantages: cheaper than salon sessions

Disadvantages: disappointed with some of their products

When I hit 50 I took a long hard look at my face & decided that drastic action was needed. No longer could I say that I had 'fine lines & wrinkles' or crow's feet/ laughter lines - I had some deep wrinkles without a doubt!

Around this time I was channel-hopping & caught a presentation on Gatineau skin products & thought some of the items might really help as they were geared twards the more mature skin.

I had some spare cash in those days so decided it would be a good investment as Gatineau don't sell their products on the high street concentrating more on salons.

With QVC's promise of a 30 day money-back guarantee & available to purchase in 3 'easy-pay' installments I eagerly awaited my various pots, tubes & potions.

When they arrived I was impressed by the luxurious packaging but somewhat disappointed in the flimsy & hard to read instructions.

Amongst the items I bought were following ~
-Firming Throat Gel - £36.50
- Melatogenine Futur Plus - 50ml for £67.56
- Anti-Wrinkle Pen - over £30 for 8ml
- Floracil eye make-up remover - £23 for 400ml

I was expecting great results for these prices but have mixed opinions & would advise reading the reviews about individual products on QVC's website as results seem to vary considerably.

Although QVC offer their 30 day money back scheme it can take over 30 days to see results so this is useful to bear in mind if purchasing?

I was pleased with the Floracil which is very gentle, fresh & extremely good at removing eye make-up effectively using very little product.

I love the throat gel - it smells gorgeous & soaks into the neck immediately & gives an instant firming.

I was disappointed though in the anti- Wrinkle pen - I saw no difference in the appearance of wrinkles & the brush wasn't long enough to reach the end of the tube so there was some left that I couldn't use.

The Futur Plus cream lasted ages as it's a big pot, the cream itself is very rich so you only need a little morning & night but, to be honest I've used much cheaper creams with better results.

- There are loads of products made by Gatineau including body & hand creams, products for less mature skins, firming gels & creams etc & I know a lot of people who swear by their products as they've achieved super results but I've been disappointed with some of them.
- It's a lot cheaper to buy & do-it-yourself at home rather than pay for salon treatments but I'd recommend buying trial sizes when QVC offer them & definately read viewers' reviews before wasting a lot of money as I did.
