Glaucoma affects 2% of the population and if left untreated can cause blindness. Statistics have shown that 35% of people registered blind or partially sighted in this country have one form of glaucoma or another. There are several types of glaucoma, acute glaucoma, chronic glaucoma and congenital glaucoma to name the main types.
