great products but at a price (Head & Shoulders in General)

I must admit that, although I do buy Head & Shoulders products fairly often, I don't use them everyday mainly due to the price & not the quality I hasten to add.

Luckily I only experienced having dandruff for a while during puberty & again when I was pregnant & it soon cleared up after using the Vosene my Mum used to buy.

Head & Shoulders came on the market around 35 years ago (too late for my teenage years unfortunately) but I bought it when my daughters too had dandruff & it worked a treat. I've used H&S conditioner, shampoo for greasy hair & everyday plus hubby has used the shampoo for men & as a family we've all been pleased with the results.

The products are all well presented in sturdy, non-drip bottles & the shampoo etc is of a good consistency, does the job it's supposed to & all smell lovely. I find for some reason that the smell of the shampoo or conditioner tends to last longer on the hair making it feel extra clean, soft & shiny.

Most of the shampoos tend to be blue except for the citrus anti-dandruff one for greasy hair which is pale lemon & smells divine as it contains lemongrass, green tea & grapefruit yet isn't overpowering. The Ocean Spray is another great shampoo which smells very fresh & once again is long lasting.

I also found that as well as dealing with dandruff it was also brilliant when used on de-nitted hair. They say nits love clean & shiny hair... I found after using a nit comb & treatment on my daughters' hair that if I then used Head & Shoulders they didn't seem to want to revisit!

From my experience in using several of their products I'd have to say that I'd recommend them as all were easy to apply yet easy to rinse off, all smelled fresh & all seemed to do the job they claimed to do (eg. de-dandruff the hair, condition, clean, combat greasiness etc). I never found my hair to feel heavy or be left with a 'film' so, all in all, I'd say this is a great range.

The only thing I don't llike, however, is the price - £2.70 for 250ml seems a lot to pay for an everyday shampoo - so I normally use a much cheaper one these days & a good conditioner & if I ever need H&S I look for it on offer or use my Boots Advantage points.
